Government Money
Thailand's annual budget appropriations by ministry, province and programme. These are amounts appropriated, not amounts actually spent.
⚠ The appropriation figures in this section are fiscal year 2023 — the only year the Bureau of the Budget's province-level file covers. The disbursement figures further down run to FY2025. The two sections are not describing the same year.

Personal insolvency volume (from Royal Gazette notices)
This is not government spending. It is the count of receivership and bankruptcy notices naming a private individual — notices we count but never store — which makes it an economic indicator carrying none of the privacy cost.

Budgeted against actually spent
Everything above is appropriation — what the Appropriation Act allocated. This is disbursement: what GFMIS records as actually paid.
⚠ These are fiscal years (1 October - 30 September), not calendar years, and the current fiscal year has not finished. A low execution rate on the latest year means the year is not over, not that money could not be spent.

⚠ Bar lengths are inflation-adjusted, because baht in 2016 and baht in 2025 are not the same unit — prices rose 10.7% over that span, and comparing nominal figures shows inflation as though it were growth. The deflator is the World Bank consumer price index. That is a consumer basket, not a government one — salaries, construction and medicines move differently — so treat it as an approximation rather than an exact restatement. Years the index does not yet cover keep their nominal figure.
Note: for FY2023 the Appropriation Act total is ฿3.18tn while the GFMIS budget base is ฿2.99tn, a difference of 6.2%. The two count different things — GFMIS tracks disbursement against what was allocated to agencies, while the Act includes items that never reach an agency's ledger.
The source reports in millions of baht; figures are converted to baht here so they can be compared with the appropriation totals above.
Local authority revenue, FY2025
Total revenue of all local authorities in each province, and how much of it they raise themselves.
| Province | Total revenue · locally raised share |
|---|---|
| Nakhon Ratchasima | ฿27.7bn · 6.8% raised locally |
| Chon Buri | ฿23.8bn · 19.1% raised locally |
| Samut Prakan | ฿20.9bn · 26.6% raised locally |
| Chiang Mai | ฿19.7bn · 10.8% raised locally |
| Khon Kaen | ฿19.4bn · 5.9% raised locally |
| Ubon Ratchathani | ฿17.4bn · 4.9% raised locally |
| Nonthaburi | ฿16.2bn · 18.7% raised locally |
| Pathum Thani | ฿15.7bn · 20.3% raised locally |
| Songkhla | ฿15.6bn · 9.5% raised locally |
| Nakhon Si Thammarat | ฿15.4bn · 5.4% raised locally |
| Udon Thani | ฿15.1bn · 6.2% raised locally |
| Si Sa Ket | ฿14.4bn · 3% raised locally |
| Buri Ram | ฿14.2bn · 3.5% raised locally |
| Rayong | ฿13.9bn · 21.2% raised locally |
| Roi Et | ฿13.8bn · 3.6% raised locally |
| Chiang Rai | ฿13.1bn · 5.8% raised locally |
| Surat Thani | ฿13.1bn · 10.9% raised locally |
| Surin | ฿12.7bn · 3.2% raised locally |
| Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya | ฿11.4bn · 13.2% raised locally |
| Chaiyaphum | ฿11.2bn · 3.4% raised locally |
The locally raised share is not a performance measure. A province with a smaller tax base will naturally raise less of its own revenue.
Bangkok does not appear here. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is a special administrative area outside the Department of Local Administration remit, so it is absent from the source rather than missing from our copy of it.

Public procurement: who wins the work
Contract award announcements from the e-GP system, 2004–2023, from ACT Ai's open data.

Figures as of 19 Sept 2026, 17:25 (Bangkok time)
⚠ Dollar figures use the Bank of Thailand's average rate for that YEAR, not the rate on the contract date — the source's contract-date column is empty on every row, so the year is the only temporal signal available. Worth showing because the baht moved from 40.85/USD in 2004 to 34.76 in 2023, and a nominal-baht series conflates currency movement with real change.
13,958,395 of 27,124,948 rows (51.5%) are excluded from these figures. The source export glues several winners' names, registration numbers and prices into a single row with no separator, and they cannot be split back apart. Those rows are kept, but they cannot enter a total.
If you or your organisation is named here and something is wrong, you can ask for a correction or removal at the corrections page. We will check it against the source and reply.
