Satellite fire detections against PM2.5

Hotspots detected in the last 7 days by province, with that province's latest ground PM2.5 reading.

⚠ A hotspot is not a fire, and a count is not blame. It is a thermal anomaly in a ~375m satellite pixel. Cloud hides them, industrial heat and gas flares trigger them, and one fire spanning several pixels is counted several times. A province may rank high simply because the sky was clear when the satellite passed.
