กรมการขนส่งทางราง (อังกฤษ: Department of Rail Transport) เป็นส่วนราชการในสังกัดกระทรวงคมนาคม จัดตั้งขึ้นตาม พระราชบัญญัติปรับปรุงกระทรวง ทบวง กรม (ฉบับที่ ๑๘) พ.ศ. ๒๕๖๒ เมื่อวันจันทร์ที่ 15 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2562[1] โดยเป็นการยกฐานะขึ้นมาจากสำนักงานโครงการพัฒนาระบบราง ในสำนักงานนโยบายและแผนการขนส่งและจราจร กรมการขนส่งทางรางมีหน้าที่กำกับดูแลระบบขนส่งทางรางทั่วประเทศให้เป็นมาตรฐานเดียวกัน รวมถึงการเสนอแนะนโยบาย ยุทธศาสตร์ และแผนงานการกำกับดูแลกิจการขนส่งทางรางให้เป็นมาตรฐาน อีกทั้งการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานการขนส่งทางรางของประเทศให้สามารถแข่งขันและเชื่อมต่อการขนส่งรูปแบบอื่นและประเทศเพื่อนบ้านได้
